The air data inertial reference system (ADIRS) has two primary functions:
- Air data reference (ADR)
- Inertial reference (IR)
The ADR function calculates:
- Airspeed, and
- Barometric altitude
The IR function calculates this data:
- Attitude
- Present position
- Groundspeed
- Heading
