Normal Checklists (NC)

Normal Checklists (NCs) are a crucial component of aircraft operations, designed to ensure that all necessary procedures are completed before, during, and after a flight. These checklists are a systematic way to verify that the aircraft is configured correctly, systems are functioning properly, and the crew is prepared for the flight.

These checklists are often customized for specific aircraft types and models. They help pilots to manage their workload and ensure that no critical steps are missed during flight operations. They can help reduce stress on a pilot’s memory, allowing them to focus on the most important tasks during stressful times.

Many modern aircraft feature electronic checklists that can be accessed on cockpit displays or EFB.
